The 'Hah' breathing technique

A great technique which I only recently tried is known a s 'Hah breathing'. It's very simple to do but has an amazing effect on your presence if you do any kind of presenting. It also has the secondary effect of calming down your nervous system in preparation for your speech or talk. It originally came form Hawaii'n huna I believe but I'm not absolutely certain about that..

All you need to do is to stand in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed for a while and breathe normally but a little deeper than usual just making sure that you utilize your lower abdomen to breathe instead of just your chest. Breathe calmly for about tow minutes.

Now breathe in to a count of about 6-7 seconds expanding your lower belly on inhalation and then as you breathe out make a Haaaaaaahh sound as you do so. Let the haaaah sound out slowly to a count of about 6-7 seconds again. As you make this hah sound really feel it resonating within and around you. As you do this more and more the hah sound will become stronger and much more resonant. Maintain the haaaah sound as you exhale but don't make the haah sound when you inhale, only on exhale.

Continue with your hah breathing for about fifteen minutes and you will find a heightened sense of charisma. If you do this before a presentation it will increase your stage presence enormously I assure you. It just seems to raise your energy and vibrational level although I am not sure how. The Hawaiins say that it is to do with the sound and it's resonance. I have tried this and can attest that it does do the trick.
